Meet Marina Kosak
My family and I have lived in Naperville since 2007. It’s actually our 2nd stint in Naperville, having lived here from 1999 until 2004, as well. After being away for 3 years, as our children were school-aged, my husband Scott and I made the decision to move back so that our kids could benefit from the award winning IPSD 204 schools. Our 2 kids attended Graham Elementary and Crone Middle schools and Neuqua Valley High School. Megan is a 2019 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School and is currently a creative media major at the University of Alabama. AJ is a junior at NVHS. We also have a great 4-legged kid named Izzie.
As an educator, I am passionate about serving kids and that has fueled my career for the past 25 years. I served as a high school Spanish teacher for 10 years and then made my way into administration. I have served in the roles of Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Principal at both the middle school and high school levels. I have also served kids in districts with wide-ranging cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, including Hinsdale HS District 86, Plainfield CUSD 202, East Aurora District 31, and Oswego District 308.
Throughout my career I have always put kids first, priding myself on digging to the root of issues to help them succeed to their full potential.
Having served the students of other school districts over the past 25 years, I am running for the IPSD 204 School Board because I now want to make a difference in education in my home community. I have gained a significant amount of expertise throughout my career and I want to bring that to this position.
Indian Prairie has always been a leader in education and families move here for the schools. We need to make certain that in the years to come we are maintaining a high level of achievement across all facets of schools and as a member of the school board I will work to make that happen.
On Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, I appreciate your vote for IPSD 204 Board Member!
